“Final Kiss” is the first single from Lucid Grave upcoming album, “Nightblade.” The song captures the final moments of a relationship that has reached its inevitable end — not through anger or resentment, but through acceptance.
It is a story about holding onto the last remaining beauty of a love that can no longer survive. Aware that the relationship has become too heavy to carry, the narrator chooses to let go and bury what once was, while cherishing every final touch, every lingering glance, and every last kiss. Though the relationship is over, its memory remains forever etched beneath the skin. “Final Kiss” is a darkly romantic farewell to a love that never truly disappears, even after it is gone.
“Nightblade” is the upcoming album from Lucid Grave, conceived as the original score to a fictional film. Set in a world illuminated by neon lights, Dark romance, and underground nightlife, the album follows the story of a woman who runs from love as fiercely as she falls into it.
She loves deeply, obsessively, and destructively. But the moment she senses a relationship slipping beyond her control, she destroys it before it can destroy her. Through a series of doomed romances, heartbreaks, and emotional murders, “Nightblade” unfolds like a fictional serial killer drama where love itself becomes both the victim and the weapon.
The album is drenched in themes of passion, loneliness, longing, and loss, creating a soundtrack for broken hearts beneath the glow of an endless midnight dancefloor. Inspired by the Cinematic romance and atmosphere of the 1980s, Lucid Grave ventures into new territory with a sound rooted in New Wave, Disco, and Psych Rock, while still preserving the Dark aesthetic that defines the band.
“Nightblade” is a love letter to tragic romance — a soundtrack to beautiful endings, and a fictional film dedicated to everyone who has ever loved too intensely and lost themselves in the process.
