German Progressive Rock band Naria unveil the official teaser video for their new album release “Lyra-La,” out on May 30, 2025. Stream the teaser via the YouTube player below:
The element of water is the omnipresent constant in the second album of the trilogy. At some point, I had written down the intense, recurring dreams from my earliest childhood and kept wondering why they had accompanied me well into adulthood. They all revolve around real events that, to this day, I am unable to fully comprehend.
Lyra-La sketches these dreams rooted in real events and memories, continuing in my dreams in strange and inexplicable ways. Over time, they became so vivid that as a child, I sometimes didn’t know upon waking whether I was already awake or still dreaming.
The album Lyra-La unfolds the surreal tale of a man adrift in a raging ocean. Around him, waves crash with merciless force as he struggles against the pull of the deep, desperate to stay afloat.
Just as he begins to slip beneath the surface, he encounters a mysterious woman. She appears to have just answered a question – yet he cannot recall ever asking one. Her words vanish as swiftly as the world around him, and instead, it is her appearance that holds him captive: from her head spray delicate jets of water, like a celestial shower in hues of blue and gold. The mesmerizing vision renders him motionless.
A lullaby drifts through the air. Drowsiness envelops him. Silence descends. He hears his own heartbeat – and the scratch of sand, coursing through his veins.
Suddenly, a nurse bursts onto the scene, plunging an adrenaline syringe into his chest. A resuscitation? Her face seems familiar, though it lies buried beneath layers of heavy makeup. The drug jolts his system – panic seizes him. He opens his eyes wide as water floods his ears and drowns his gaze.
From the very first note of the first Song, the heartbeat races in panic as it’s pulled into the depths. Time is ticking – “until they can see nothing but sea!”
